I can’t get enough of everything Saint Laurent lately and that includes the gorgeous new campaigns shot by photographer and creative director Hedi Slimane. I love the grunge look and feel that is present through the entire collection. It’s the combination of grunge and more extravagant elements, which resulted in overalls, leather and strong statement pieces with tiaras, sequins, lace and see-through materials. I am a big fan of this glam rock style and there’s no doubt that Hedi Slimane’s signature black and white photography embodies that well.
Hedi Slimane left the brand on March 31, 2016. I can’t wait to see what Italian-Belgian fashion designer Anthony Vaccarello will be doing as new creative director at Yves Saint Laurent. He will present his first collection for the fashion house in October 2016, during Paris Spring-Summer 2017 fashion week.
